Couldn't agree more, this article perfectly captures that feeling of unease around AI as a collaborater versus just a tool, it's such a fascinating observation. I'm curious, do you think our fear of 'losing' something when intelligence collaborates is more about human ego or the perceived devaluation of human effort itself?

Human effort and uniqueness sit at the center of what I believe. Ever since we became aware of our own abilities and excelled at them, we’ve never really faced a challenge from another species, on this planet or anywhere else. That’s why it’s fascinating (and unsettling) that as we push further into advanced technology, we’re now creating something that may surpass us in the one area we’ve always considered exclusively ours, thinking. In this case, creative thinking.

Once AI reaches human level (AGI) or beyond, and it surpasses us, we’re left with a choice. We can see it as humanity’s greatest achievement... or view it as a blow to our pride, our ego, and the value we place on being the only ones who can create in this way.
